Our enrichment offer, including clubs

We offer a wide range of activities and experiences that exist beyond the curriculum, either linked directly to the curriculum (co-curricular), or covering skills, knowledge and activities that work in addition to it (extracurricular).

Enrichment can support our children with their personal development, allowing them to explore their interests, try new activities and have fun, alongside developing skills and knowledge that can help with transitions and future readiness.

Enrichment at Malmesbury includes:

  • Civic engagement: for example,  volunteering to be one of our young leaders' groups (Junior librarians, Eco-Council, School Council, Playground buddies, Sports leaders).
  • arts and culture, for example,  benefiting from our wide range of planned trips, visits and workshops designed to enrich our curriculum or taking part in special events such as The Thames Music Festival or our choir's fundraising events.  Every child participates in performances at least twice a year.  We also offer music tuition in addition to our planned music curriculum.
  • nature, outdoors and adventure, for example, our Forest School, Trees for Cities projects, our Y6 Residential trip to Gorsefield.
  • sport and physical activities, for example, participating in individual and team sports, physical activities like dance, fitness activities or cycling, representing Malmesbury in the wide range of sports competitions and events (such as the London Mini-Marathon).
  • developing wider life and future skills. For example, our Young Inventor's club, our Junior enterprise school fair stalls, and our cooking club.

Each term we offer a great range of after-school clubs.  We charge a nominal amount for these clubs: £15 a term for 9/10 sessions.
